For many MBA Catalyst clients attending Diversity Weekend is the first step to achieving their dream. Business schools host Diversity Weekends to provide qualified applicants an opportunity to learn about the benefits of the school’s MBA program, the strength of their alumni network, and ultimately, how their program will create leaders. Participants have the opportunity to interact closely with students, faculty, alumni, and administrators. Attendees are exposed to the school’s learning and social environments, career resources, and the program’s MBA application process. Diversity Weekend not only provides potential applicants an opportunity to learn more about the school, they also provide a glimpse of the applicant to the school’s MBA admissions committee. This provides potential applicants an opportunity to begin a relationship with the actual decision makers who will read their application. Diversity Weekends are open to everyone; however, many schools require that a candidate submit an application to receive an invitation to attend. Additionally, schools strongly encourage individuals of African-American, Hispanic/Latino, and Native American descent to attend. An invitation to a Diversity Weekend is a great way to begin to tell “Your Story.” In addition, the event’s application can serve as your introduction to the entire business school application process. Many of our clients who received Diversity Weekend invitations also received letters of acceptance from those schools. MBA Catalyst firmly believes that a solid first impression at these events increase an applicant’s odds for acceptance to the school’s MBA program. We can help you complete these applications as the first step towards achieving your dream.
